Group Description

This project is about creating a shared space for nonprofits, service providers, and community programming. Currently, the red house beside the Trading Post is the likely most likely candidate to be converted into a Community Hub. Private negotiations are under way. More on this later as things unfold.

Land acknowledgement

With deep respect and gratitude, we acknowledge that Mayne Island is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ (Saanich) Peoples. We honor their enduring relationship with this land and celebrate the opportunity to live, learn, and grow in this beautiful place. We recognize the privilege of living in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and are deeply thankful for that, and with respect, we resolve to take care of this land.
